Family Portrait Month is Officially Official.

Ok, you crazy kids. I am *this* close to finalizing the details for this year’s Family Portrait Month. I’m really excited about participating again this year, and I hope you all will help me double what I donated last year!

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

1.  I am waiving the session fee for ALL portrait sessions held during the month of October this year. They don’t have to be family portrait sessions. Maternity and newborn sessions qualify as well. In lieu of the session feel I am asking for a $75 minimum donation. I will contribute 100% of these donations to Operation Smile.

2.  I will also donate 25% of all print sales that result from these October sessions.

3.  Clients who purchase a 16×20 canvas (or larger) will receive two complimentary Grandparent Portraits (11×14 or smaller).

4.  This year I will be offering two holiday card options. Stay tuned for those details, including samples of the design options available.

5.  Bring in your child’s Halloween costume and receive one complimentary 5×7 of your kiddo in his/her costume!

Operation Smile really is a wonderful cause, and I hope you all will help me celebrate Family Portrait Month this year! I cannot image a better gift to give than the gift of a smile. :)

Sessions are filling up quickly, so please give me a call at 678.860.5007 to reserve your date. Also, if you haven’t already please sign up for the Eclectic Photo E-Newsletter so you can stay in the loop on specials, new products, etc. I’m going to send out a newsletter in the next week with the full details for Family Portrait Month.

Thanks so much, and I hope you all have a great week!

Comments.

Hi everyone.

I’ve had to turn off comments for now because I am on the spam circuit once again. I hold comments for moderation, but the number of spam comments is increasing so I know it’s only going to get worse.

I hate having to turn off comments because I love getting feedback on my posts and photos, but spam is SUCH a nightmare. I might have to go back to having users registration in order to leave comments.

Sorry about the inconvenience!

08.08.08.

I have no doubt Friday was a busy day for wedding photographers. I know it was a busy day for me! I have to laugh, though, because I never really thought about my anniversary date when I got married. I just picked the date that was available when I found my wedding site. I do think dates like 08.08.08 are very cool, though, and hopefully it’ll make it easier for both parties to remember their anniversary. ;-)

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding for T and E. It was an intimate affair in Gainesville, Georgia, and my cheeks are STILL sore from all the laughing I did! I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this wedding, and trust me when I say everyone made me feel like I was indeed a part of it all. :)

I arrived early to get photos of the bride getting ready. I really do think the getting ready shots are some of my favorites from a wedding, so I’m always excited to be a part of wedding where I get to photograph the time right before the wedding. T and her daughter were getting ready, and we had a lot of fun goofing off while we waited for the other family members to arrive. Once they did, it was a flurry of dresses and sashes and lip gloss. The bridal room at the church had a beautiful three-way mirror that I tried to use to its full advantage. I’m actually standing behind the bride in this shot, and she’s looking at her daughter’s reflection in the mirror:

It was a bit of a challenge to keep myself out of the mirror shots, and every once in a while I missed my mark. LOL

After everyone got ready we headed outside for some of the formal photos. T and E decided to go ahead and get all their photos done before the ceremony. And while I’m a sucker for romance and sentimental stuff, I really appreciate it when the couples schedule their wedding this way. It just makes the day run a bit smoother. *wink*wink* :D Here are a few shots from outside:

And this might be one of my favorite photos from the day… :D They were just being so silly. LOL

The sun was pretty brutal so we moved inside to take a few group formals inside the chapel. There was much giggling and silliness as you can probably tell from this photo:

I have no idea what they’re doing, but it just makes me smile. The wedding party had personality to spare, that’s for sure. :)

The ceremony was beautiful, but I think some of my favorite shots are of T with her dad waiting to walk down the aisle. She was tucked in a hallway waiting for the processional, and you could see how excited she was about it all. She and her dad were being really cute, and then she rested her head on his shoulder for just a moment…how sweet is this photo??

I swear I was torn between laughing and crying all day. I would see something incredibly sweet like the moment above, and then I’d turn around and catch “the boys” doing something like this:

Who knew Zoolander would be at one of my weddings? :D These two had me in stitches all night long. It was great.

I could go on and on about the rest of the evening, but I’ll just post a few more of my favorite photos instead. :)

I hope you guys have a great time on your honeymoon, and I can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back! And thanks again for letting me be a part of your wedding day. I had a blast. :)
