Hi, everyone. And happy belated new year! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season. :) Mine was busy but fun. And now it’s back to reality.
I wanted to go ahead and update you all on some pricing changes that will go into effect February 1, 2010. This year I am doing away with the session fee that includes a print credit. Those darn print credits have caused my clients more grief than anything else! So I’m going to simplify my packages.
I am also offering digital packages this year! You all asked for them, and I listened. The digital package includes the full resolution digital files from your session. These images come with a limited use license allowing you to make your own prints, etc. for personal use. All files will receive basic exposure and color correction, and you may select five (5) images for full retouching. This package is $595, but for a limited time I am offering it at an introductory rate of $495.
Starting February 1, 2010 my sitting fee will be $150. This is a creative fee that covers my time and does not include any prints or products. Those items may be ordered a la carte, and you’ll be happy to know my print prices are staying the same as last year. :)
I’m working on a couple other package options for you all, and I’ll be sure to send out an announcement when they’re available. All sessions booked through the end of this month can still choose the old session fee that includes the print credit. Your session does not have to take place in January, but I must receive your booking fee to confirm your appointment time by January 31, 2010.
I’m really looking forward to everything 2010 has to offer! And I hope to see you all back in the studio soon. :)

Will someone please explain to me how it’s time for Thanksgiving already? This year has seriously flown by, and I cannot believe it’s already time for me to post about holiday ordering deadlines and closings.
First off, holiday closings…
Eclectic Photo will be closed November 24 through November 29. I will have limited access to email but I will not be able to process any orders during this time. I will also be closed December 17 through December 22. Again, I will be able to respond to email inquiries, but I will not be able to process or fulfill any orders during this time.
Holiday ordering deadlines…
For those of you interested in ordering holiday cards, I need to receive your FINAL order by December 7. Turnaround times take a bit longer due to the volume of orders this time of year, so the cutoff for holiday cards is December 7. I can accept print orders up until December 11 in order to guarantee them for Christmas, but after that orders will incur additional rush charges if you need them by Christmas.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call at 678.860.5007. I’m sorry I’m behind on blogging my sessions! I’ve had some technical difficulties with the blog, so I’ve been trying to iron those out before adding any more posts. :)
I hope you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Those of you who know me know how much I love the Christmas season. I’m already giddy with the holiday spirit since Hallmark and other stores have already started to send out their holiday mailers. And I would play Christmas music year round if I thought I could get away with it. :D
So I’ve decided to hold my first ever Christmas in July contest! Are you intrigued? Don’t worry…I won’t make you watch A Christmas Story for 24 consecutive hours. I did consider it, though. ;)
Here’s the deal…I’m basically holding a blog post comments contest during the month of July. What does that mean exactly? The blog post with the most LEGITIMATE comments wins! What do you win? A gift certificate for 50 custom designed 5×7 holiday cards. Oooooh, fancy!
Here are the official rules:
1. Only blog posts from 2009 are eligible.
2. Blog comments must be received by midnight EST July 31, 2009. It’s ok if I don’t approve them by this deadline. As long as the comment is submitted by midnight on July 31 it counts.
3. Comments must be legitimate comments from your friends and family. Please don’t post to forums asking strangers to leave comments on your blog posts. :)
4. One blog comment per friend/family member, please. Please note: due to the HUGE amount of comment spam out there, people are required to enter a name and email address in order to comment. I do not use this information for anything other than to validate the comment.
5. Holiday cards will be credited to a future portrait session in 2009. They may not be applied to previous sessions.
And just for the heck of it I’m going to give out a special prize to the most “creative” blog comment. :D
So spread the word! Find your blog post using the date archives or categories list. Post it to Facebook and let your friends and family know about it! And for those of you with unblogged sessions, don’t worry about it…I’m catching up this week and will get them all posted. :)
Happy (early) holidays!!
