It’s hard to believe that 2007 is coming to a close. I was trying to hold open a few last-minute portrait sessions, but it seems that Santa decided to bring me an early present: appendicitis.
Last week I ended up in the Emergency Room with what turned out to be appendicitis. I had surgery the following day to have the offending appendix removed. I’m home now and doing much better, but unfortunately I will spend the rest of the year recovering so I won’t be able to book any more sessions.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and I look forward to seeing everyone in the new year. Be safe! :)

I wanted to say congratulations to Monica and Ed! They got engaged this year, and I will be photographing their wedding at Frogtown Cellars Winery this April. I’m really looking forward to the wedding and know everything will be just beautiful!
We’re planning a fun engagement shoot before the wedding, but it’ll have to wait for warmer temperatures. Especially given the ideas I have in mind. ;-)
Congratulations again, you two! And thanks for giving me the opportunity to document your day.

While Christmas decorations are popping up everywhere I go, it’s still very much Fall here in Atlanta.
I had a portrait session with an adorable couple of boys this weekend, and we used their gorgeous backyard as the backdrop. As you can see, the trees are still full of red and gold leaves right now. The colors are just gorgeous, and I wish I had more time to go out and photograph the scenery before all the leaves are gone. But for now, they are the perfect background for this family’s portraits.

These boys were seasoned pros in front of the camera, and I really enjoyed getting to photograph them. They were a little anxious to go play football with the neighborhood kids, so they’re probably the most cooperative subjects I’ve had in a while! ;-)
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
