While I absolutely love photographing portraits, sometimes it’s nice to have a little change of pace.
Last night we had an amazing full moon here in Atlanta, so I grabbed my gear and headed outside to see if I could capture it. I really wish I had a longer telephoto lens to capture the detail on the surface of the moon, but I love the way this photo turned out. Now, if only we would have one of these babies right around Halloween!

If I could get motivated I’d try to get out more to photograph the sun and the moon. They are just so beautiful.

Now, see? This is why I love my maternity clients. They make the cutest little baby clients! :-D
I had another six month session over the weekend with Baby W. Oh my goodness, he is such a sweetie! He has this big blue eyes, and has an absolutely infectious smile. Mom and Dad were able to get a few laughs out of him, and I’m really happy with his photos. Is he not just adorable?

I’m a little bummed because I forgot to bring out the couch for this session as well, but that’s ok. I still got several really nice family portraits for them, so I can use the couch next time. :)
I don’t know if you can tell from these photos, but Baby W has the cutest rolly polly chubby thighs! He’s already built like a linebacker, as baby boys should be. ;)

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with one of my maternity clients to take photos of her six month old baby girl. Little Baby C was just adorable and full of smiles! She was a little unsure of the big lights in the studio at first, but it didn’t take her long to warm up at all. My son joined me for this session to act as my assistant, and Baby C was quite taken by him. Oh, she’s a charmer all right!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the session. It was hard to narrow them down. :-)

Six months ago we did a shot of Mom and Dad on this old couch…I’ve been using it a lot for my maternity sessions:

There isn’t nearly as much room on the couch these days, but I don’t think anyone minds. ;-)

I can’t tell you how much fun it is to watch my clients go through all these life stages. Weddings, pregnancies, new babies…it really is such a fantastic experience to be part of it all. I love my job!!
