Rain, rain, go away!

There’s something to be said for planning outdoor photo sessions during the spring…in the southeast. You will most likely have to reschedule at least once. LOL

The weather here in Atlanta has been nuts this spring, to put it mildly. I have been trying to schedule an in-town engagement session with M and E, and it was rained out exactly 1 1/2 times. The first time we had to cancel a tornado tore through downtown Atlanta and did some major damage to parts of the city. I’m very thankful we rescheduled well in advance and weren’t caught down there when the storm moved through.

The second time the weather allowed us to squeeze in about half a session before Mother Nature finally said, “Enough with the pictures!” I met up with M and E at the lovely Atlanta Botanical Garden this weekend for a spring-themed engagement session. We figured there were indoor locations there as well, so if it did rain we could scoot in there to get some great shots. You can also see some of the Atlanta skyline from certain areas at the Garden…when there aren’t construction cranes blocking the view. Oh yes, it was one of those days. :D

Regardless, M and E were great sports about it all and we did the best we could under the circumstances! I felt a little rushed with the rumble of thunder off in the distance every once in a while, but we still got some great shots. Here are a few of my favorites:

These two had such a positive attitude towards the day and made the session a lot of fun! I think I was probably more disappointed about the weather than they were. LOL We were just about to head over to the gazebo and the children’s park for more photos when the sky started to open up. And I am not kidding when I say it POURED right after we got inside. Ah well. At least the weather held out for a bit. :)

I am really looking forward to their wedding! I just hope Mother Nature’s a little nicer to us then. ;-)

So much for keeping my promise about updating this blog! Sorry about that. :)

I had a couple maternity sessions I need to post. I believe by now you all know the drill, so here they are. I cannot tell you how happy I am that more and more women are documenting their pregnancies like this. It’s just so cool.

This family was just so sweet or so adorable. I cannot wait to see what their new addition looks like. I have no doubt he will be a total cutie patootie. :)

And a new version of the parasol photo! It was all his idea. ;-)

I love this shot of Mom and Dad together. They just look so happy.

And isn’t she just so stunning? I absolutely love the way this shot turned out.

And it wouldn’t be a session with Eclectic Photo without the Blooming Belly shot…

Blooming Belly

Congratulations on baby #2!! I hope labor and delivery goes smoothly, and I can’t wait to meet him. :)

Playing Catch-up.

March has turned out to be a pretty hectic month! And I have a feeling it’s only going to get nuttier from here on out. :-D

I feel like I am so behind blogging about some of my client sessions. I’m going to try to stay on top of them from here on out, I promise. :-)

This past weekend I got to photograph the cutiest, patootiest little new baby boy! He’s only three weeks old and just so very sweet. The time change goofed with all our schedules, though, so he was more interested in eating than taking pictures. LOL But he was a really good sport once he got a full belly.

I love newborn photos in black & white:

And that little baby butt!!

And care to guess which of my previous clients is his mom?

Yep, you guessed it. :D

And here she is with her new bundle of joy:

Aren’t they just so sweet? I am always amazed by these little babies…just so tiny and delicate. I hope to see a lot more of this little guy. :)
