I figured I should blog about this newborn baby session before she reached her first birthday!

Baby M is my first Baby’s First Year baby, so you’ll be seeing lots of her on my blog over the course of this year.  And I could not be more excited about watching her grow!  She is such a beautiful little baby, and I absolutely adore her family (you might remember them from this maternity session).

Baby M’s session was a location shoot, and it was nice to get to use natural light for a change.  Especially since I had a few new “props” I wanted to try out.  I love how colorful this hat is!  And would you look at those big blue eyes?  Just gorgeous.

M is about 2 1/2 weeks in these photos, but you would have thought she was 2 1/2 months.  She was so alert and I could not believe how well she made eye contact with me!  I have quite a few photos of her looking straight at the camera, and that’s pretty rare for a newborn session.

Isn’t she beautiful?  I love this photo.  M was really cooperative and put up with me moving her around and dressing her in funny outfits.  :D

She’s a little pea in a pod.  :D  She tolerated the outfit for a few frames, but then she was DONE.  Can’t say that I blame her one bit.  :)

And this one cracks me up because this happens at EVERY SINGLE newborn session.  I just don’t always catch it.  ;)

Seriously.  It happens every time.  Usually more than once.  So for all you new parents out there planning a newborn session, don’t worry about it.  We photographers are used to it.  ;)
