Hi, everyone. And happy belated new year! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season. :) Mine was busy but fun. And now it’s back to reality.
I wanted to go ahead and update you all on some pricing changes that will go into effect February 1, 2010. This year I am doing away with the session fee that includes a print credit. Those darn print credits have caused my clients more grief than anything else! So I’m going to simplify my packages.
I am also offering digital packages this year! You all asked for them, and I listened. The digital package includes the full resolution digital files from your session. These images come with a limited use license allowing you to make your own prints, etc. for personal use. All files will receive basic exposure and color correction, and you may select five (5) images for full retouching. This package is $595, but for a limited time I am offering it at an introductory rate of $495.
Starting February 1, 2010 my sitting fee will be $150. This is a creative fee that covers my time and does not include any prints or products. Those items may be ordered a la carte, and you’ll be happy to know my print prices are staying the same as last year. :)
I’m working on a couple other package options for you all, and I’ll be sure to send out an announcement when they’re available. All sessions booked through the end of this month can still choose the old session fee that includes the print credit. Your session does not have to take place in January, but I must receive your booking fee to confirm your appointment time by January 31, 2010.
I’m really looking forward to everything 2010 has to offer! And I hope to see you all back in the studio soon. :)

As soon as I met J and P I knew this maternity session would be a lot of fun. They were both laughing and smiling and just so friendly! We had lots of giggles and laughs, and J makes an absolutely stunning mom-to-be. :)
She loved the blue wrap I use for maternity sessions, and I can understand why. She looks gorgeous in it!

I’ve been trying to mix up my maternity sessions a bit by throwing in different poses and props, and I am loving these shots with the fabric in motion. I was torn between the color and black & white version of this photo, but I think I prefer the black & white.

J and P were also very affectionate which made for some seriously sweet photos…like this one…aren’t they cute?? :)

And these silhouette photos are always some of my favorites. So simple and elegant.

I believe Baby Girl made her appearance shortly after this session, so congratulations you two!! I can’t wait to see her. :)

Ok, so I might not be a destination wedding photographer, but apparently I am a destination maternity photographer. Only *I* am actually the destination. :D
When I first got C’s email asking for more information about a maternity session I responded with my usual enthusiasm. And then I realized she was in Alabama! Apparently she had a tough time finding a local photographer that she liked, so she broadened her search and found me. :)
Since she had to drive so far, we tried to book her session as early as possible. I remember those road trips down to Florida when I was seven months pregnant, and trust me when I say they were, well, uncomfortable. LOL So I literally felt C’s pain.
But she and S were total troopers and didn’t seem the least bit tired when they arrived! We had so much fun shooting together, and I am thrilled with the way their photos turned out. Baby K is due any day now, and I know C and S are anxiously awaiting her arrival. I am too. :)
So here are a few of my favs from the session!

C looked absolutely stunning in the red wrap!

Then we switched things up a bit and went with a little more color.

I really had such a great time with these two, and I cannot wait to see baby K when she gets here. I hope you guys can make the drive back over here after she’s born! And good luck with labor and delivery. :)
