Hi, everyone. And happy belated new year! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season. :) Mine was busy but fun. And now it’s back to reality.
I wanted to go ahead and update you all on some pricing changes that will go into effect February 1, 2010. This year I am doing away with the session fee that includes a print credit. Those darn print credits have caused my clients more grief than anything else! So I’m going to simplify my packages.
I am also offering digital packages this year! You all asked for them, and I listened. The digital package includes the full resolution digital files from your session. These images come with a limited use license allowing you to make your own prints, etc. for personal use. All files will receive basic exposure and color correction, and you may select five (5) images for full retouching. This package is $595, but for a limited time I am offering it at an introductory rate of $495.
Starting February 1, 2010 my sitting fee will be $150. This is a creative fee that covers my time and does not include any prints or products. Those items may be ordered a la carte, and you’ll be happy to know my print prices are staying the same as last year. :)
I’m working on a couple other package options for you all, and I’ll be sure to send out an announcement when they’re available. All sessions booked through the end of this month can still choose the old session fee that includes the print credit. Your session does not have to take place in January, but I must receive your booking fee to confirm your appointment time by January 31, 2010.
I’m really looking forward to everything 2010 has to offer! And I hope to see you all back in the studio soon. :)

You know the minute I decided to stock up on girly hats and tutus for my newborn sessions that all my clients would end up having baby boys. :D It’s ok, though…baby boys are just so incredibly sweet as you’ll see from this session.
Baby C is actually the “second born” in this family. You might remember their maternity session with their fur baby. Well, Newton seems to be taking his role as big brother in stride. And Baby C seems to adore his furry big brother. :)

This little guy was so very sweet even when he got a little hungry. And I’m not sure what it is exactly about baby toes that makes you want to photograph them, but here’s the obligatory piggy toes shot. ;)

And a few more of my favorites…

Congratulations, guys! He’s beautiful. :)

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to work with this family. S and I emailed back and forth quite a bit during her pregnancy to talk about ideas, etc. for her newborn session. She’s a teacher but has a background in art, so she had a lot of ideas. And I love getting creative input from my clients!
We tentatively booked a date just to hold a spot for her, and I was beyond shocked when the baby arrived basically right on schedule! LOL So we were able to keep her original appointment. I’m pretty sure that never happens. :D
What an adorable family! And they were all so sweet to work with. Baby C was wide awake for most of the session, and I swear she knew exactly where the camera was at all times. She really was incredibly alert for a newborn. And just oh-so-cute. See for yourselves. :)

She’s a rockstar already! :D

I love that Mom brought the “C” from her room:

Proud Daddy:

Little Snugglebug:

And finally asleep:

I am here to tell you this happens at EVERY NEWBORN SESSION. So parents, be prepared. :D

She made so many funny faces during the session!

And I just love, love, love this shot. It was Mom’s idea. :)

Such a beautiful family! Congratulations again on your baby girl! She is absolutely adorable. :)
